John qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1967, having trained in a medium size practice in Belfast, moved to Dublin 1972 and joined Craig Gardner (Price Waterhouse Cooper). He spent two years working in industry but returned to general practice when he joined P.P. O'Neill & Company as head of audit and became a Partner in the firm one year later. Prior to setting up The Leinster Partnership he was acting as Senior Partner for the past 15 years in a Top Twenty practice in the Dublin.

In 2003 John transferred his client base to Naas along with key staff to form a new dynamic practice.

John now specialises in Company Reconstructions, Planning for Retirement, Project Finance and Pension and Investment business.

Catherine qualified as an Inspector of Taxes - Senior Grade and spent 12 years in the office of the Revenue Commissioners. Her experience in Revenue was extensive reaching District Inspector level before entering the private sector. She worked with various medium sized Dublin based accountancy firms as a Tax Manager over a period of 20 years. Catherine's area of expertise covers Compliance under all Tax Heads. In addition Catherine has a broad experience in Tax Planning and Wealth Management for high net worth individuals.

Catherine joined with John in setting up the new Partnership in 2003, having worked together for many years.

Catherine has been a member of the Irish Taxation Institute since 1979.

Mary studied Law & Accounting at the University of Limerick, where she graduated with Honours in 1997. She went on to further train and study with John in one of the Top Twenty firms in Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001.

Since the practice relocated to Naas, Mary has been a vital member of the audit team, rapidly progressing through the firm to be appointed Audit Partner in 2004.

Mary audits large companies in the Construction Industry and Allied Trades and specialises in the audits of Credit Unions, Solicitors, Auctioneers & Friendly Societies. She oversees the book-keeping department and is also responsible for Corporate Compliance.
